Cornerstone Football Club, earlier today, at the Lekan Salami Stadium, got one over Shooting Stars FC (Team B) of Ibadan in their National League One game.
The first half ended goalless despite efforts by Shooting Stars who had majority of the ball.
The second half was totally different to the first as Cornerstone found their rhythm, and played to their strengths.
Their efforts paid off when Olubodun Joy got the much needed goal after dribbling past the onrushing goalkeeper. He was assisted by Olajide Samuel.
However, Olubodun was guilty of missing other chances to extend his team’s lead.
Speaking, after the match, Cornerstone FC handler, Bolaji Temitope, popularly known as Energy, in the footballing sphere expressed delight in the win, but demands more from his players going on.
As it stands, Cornerstone FC are ranked fourth on the log with 8 points. Shooting Stars (Team B) are three places behind in seventh.
