Governor of Kwara State Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq praised the outstanding performance of students in the recently completed Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination during a visit to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College in Ilorin, the state capital.
After stopping by the school, Abdulrazaq paid the 35 pupils who received a score in the 300–355 range on the national exam his congratulations.
The state government on Monday disclosed this in a video posted on social media.
“HE Governor #RealAARahman (CON) paying a visit to the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College in Ilorin to congratulate the school and its 35 students who scored between 300 and 355 in the recently held Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination,” the caption read.
“He commended the school for making the state proud with the excellent results in the national examination. The governor also acknowledged the great strides of some public school students who posted superlative performances in the examination.
“He said the feats, along with other successes of the state, sum up the emergence of Kwara on the national stage as a go-to state for quality education.”
As we previously announced on Friday, the school verified that thirty of its pupils—out of the numerous kids who accomplished this achievement nationally—scored between 300 and 355 points.
