The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped one position in the newly released FIFA world rankings.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped to the 39th position in the July FIFA rankings, published on Thursday. In June, Nigeria was ranked 38th.
Despite the drop, Nigeria remains the 5th best team in Africa, trailing behind Morocco, Senegal, Egypt, and Ivory Coast. Morocco holds the top spot in Africa and is ranked 14th in the world.
On the global stage, Argentina continues to lead as the number one team, followed by France, Spain, England, Brazil, Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal, Colombia, and Italy, completing the top 10.
