Position Overview
EKEDC is seeking qualified and dynamic candidates to fill the role of Head of Department (HOD) Network and Communications on a full-time basis. This role is based in Lagos and entails overseeing the company’s network infrastructure, including network administration, troubleshooting, security, design, and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the company’s network infrastructure.
- Oversee network administration, troubleshooting, and security protocols.
- Design and implement effective networking solutions.
- Ensure adherence to networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLAN.
- Manage enterprise-level network infrastructure efficiently.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the network and communications team.
Qualifications and Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of network administration, troubleshooting, and security.
- Proven experience in network design and implementation.
- Comprehensive understanding of networking protocols.
- Experience in managing enterprise-level network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in a similar role.
