According to the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), one in four children worldwide is experiencing severe food poverty, with Nigeria being among the 20 countries most affected. A student of the Air Force Comprehensive School, Kaduna, Blaise Felix Aliyu, has been punished to death by two of his senior colleagues. Aliyu, who lost his parents in 2013, is said to be survived by his twin brother, who is also a student at the military boarding school, located in Mando, Kaduna. A retired brigadier general of the Nigerian Army, Uwem Harold Udokwe, has been killed by suspected armed robbers in Abuja.
